Analysis of Kerrang
Kerrang! is a weekly rock magzine published by Bauer Consumer Media. It has been getting published every week since June 1981. The title is actually an onomatopoeic word which relates to the sound a power chord on an electric guitar.
This magazine is priced at £2.20 which is slightly cheaper than NME but it offers around the same amount of content of the same genre. This is a very good price as it means that it is competiting with NME and on terms of price, Kerrang! is winning.
I feel that Kerrang! is mainly aimed towards the same people as NME which is C1,C2,D and E class people. Purely because of the genre that the magzine is.

Analysis of NME
NME or New Musical Express is a music magzine that has been published weekly since March 1952. It is owned by IPC Media. Above, you can see the cover that I will be analysing.
The magazine is priced at £2.30 which, in my opinion, is a very reasonable price for the amount of content you get within the magazine. The magazine usually attracts 16-24 year olds who enjoy the rock/punk genre of music.
From looking at this front cover I assume that this magazine is aimed primarily towards C1,C2,D and E class people. This mostly consists of working class and students which are generally the people that will be attracted to buying this magazine.

Second Magazine Attempt
This is my second attempt at making a magazine cover. As you can see it is not complete and it is a completely different style to my first attempt. Although I haven't finished this cover I am quite happy with it because I can see it taking shape and I can see where I am going to put all my main cover line and my other cover lines. However, I'm still not sure what genre I would take but I do feel that I want to do the Electronic House Magazine as it will be easier for me to create it mainly due to the fact that I enjoy this genre of music as well so it should come naturally to me to create that sort of style.
